Upload, extraction state, and when the assistant can read the text.
File state
- Ready: text can be searched and analysed.
- Processing: wait for extraction to finish.
- Failed: upload a clearer copy or a supported format.
Do not assume the file was read
A file in the library is not necessarily ready. Check its state before building a question on it.
Scans and long files
Keep pages straight and evenly lit, and review extracted text. For long files ask about a defined part rather than one question covering everything.
These pages describe the platform as it works today. Verifying the text and its application remains the professional’s responsibility.
